Dating Violence 
Dating violence is when one person purposely hurts or scares someone they are dating. Dating violence happens to people of all races, cultures, incomes, and education levels. It can happen on a first date, or when you are deeply in love. Dating violence includes physical abuse, such as hitting, shoving, kicking, biting, or throwing things.

Emotional abuse

like yelling, name-calling, bullying, embarrassing, keeping you away from your friends, saying you deserve the abuse, or giving gifts to "make up" for the abuse.

Human Trafficking 
Human trafficking is when a person is forced or tricked into working in terrible conditions. Victims of human trafficking may be kidnapped, for example. They also may be lured with false promises of a better life in a new country. A person who is trafficked may be drugged, locked up, beaten, starved, or made to work for many hours a day.

Stalking
Stalking is contact  from someone that makes you feel 
afraid or harassed. Examples of stalking may include following or spying on you, sending you unwanted email or letters, calling you often, showing up at your house, school, or work, and leaving you unwanted gifts.

- An estimated one in every three women worldwide experiences violence, with rates reaching as high as 70 percent in some countries. 


Gender-based violence ranges from rape to domestic abuse and acid burning to dowry deaths and so-called “honor killings.” - 


Behaviors included in the broad category of violence against women include homicide, intimate partner abuse, psychological abuse, dating violence, same-sex violence, elder abuse, sexual assault, date rape, acquaintance rape, marital rape, stranger rape and economic abuse.


The effects of this violence can negatively affect a woman’s reproductive health, as well as other aspects of her physical and mental well-being. 


- Abusers are adult children (47 percent), spouses (19 percent), other relatives (9 percent) and grandchildren (9 percent).

Domestic Abuse is a HUGE problem. It is estimated that 1 in 4 women live in abusive relationships. Abuse can be harmful.  Current statistics suggest one woman is murdered by her partner or ex-partner every 3 days NOBODY deserves to be beaten or abused. Women often have to try their best to avoid another incident. The abuser WANTS to abuse. Most abusers have no problem resolving arguments with other people without turning to violence. They chose to use forms of abuse against their partner as a means of keeping their power over them.
